You must not know the Orange mobility contract language before any call-center get shut down for surplus they must bring back the work that's currently being done by vendors overseas we're more safe than the managers and the fact that our contract expires in 2017 not to worry will tack the retail stores and show The public how greedy and cheap how AT&T treats their employees not to worry will also attack spring mobile game stop and the fact that AT&T need CWA to support the merger

I know people in both B...... buildings. i have close ties and found out that they let go of a lot of the mgrs in ATS to bring count way up. Its worrisome for sure, not to mention having word that the uppers have said reorg is coming. Contract expiration coming this year. Hoping we can turn this around, T has been a B...... center for at least 14 years. I dont want to have to start all this crap over again

It won't surprise me if they close Bothell. It's so small already due to attrition.

I work at the B...... call center. I'm an "Advance Service Rep" which means I am supposed to take every call that comes in to me. I get paid the same as every other CWU rep answering. Lately, we are being micro-managed, i.e. did you use the right tool? did you make a personal contact? did you use the customer's name? how long before you answered your next call? did you take your breaks at the right time for the exact time allocated?

There was a layoff of team managers and the entire Social Media group about 6 months ago. It has just been rumored (because the call center Director hasn't sent out the names--but true) that several team managers, an area manager, and the quality director are all being let go. Some of them have been loyal employees of AT&T for up to 31 years. There is no rhyme or reason for the choices--all of these people are THE stellar people in their positions. In fact, some of the worst managers in the call center are staying! This is causing a lot of tension in the workplace--will the center be closing? --won't the Union protect us? There is an underground term used among some... "The Countdown to Shutdown".

Mobility does bring in the most of the money but there business care call centers don't make money and they are operating at 50% of what the head count was with the apps website and automation not to mention the overseas out sourcing it shouldn't surprise anyone the closing of these centers is talked about. T continues to hire reps overseas to do these jobs while laying off managers on the mobility side with no intentions on hiring new reps. T is firing reps on metrics with most being customer opion hoping they can get the numbers below what is required for a warn letter to keep this from the media. T is moving overseas.

Again, I hate to be critical and I know that this will bring down some negative comments. However. Lets be clear about where the money is in AT&T. about 42000 employees in Mobility bring in about 60% of the cash. Directv is about 30000 people and another 20% of the cash. The other TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND EMPLOYEES (200000) bring in the other 20% of the cash. I am not asking for the name of the 4th or 5th line manger that would be able to tell you of the closings, but seriously. I trust you are not just making this up but... Someone is pulling your leg.
