The numbers can be changed to show anything the company wants and as for the field tech's , forget it, they are all going the same way the Verizon and East techs did, to Frontier. As for the remaining number just look at the east region.
4890 in CT before the sale and 2300 moved to Frontier leaving about 2600. Take two guesses how many ATT people are left in CT.
Times up,,,, 610 and going down next month again. The few left will all be Mobility or contractors.
Wake up....CA produces more income per state than any of the east or Midwest states.....Core jobs will be safe for a long time here other than call centers that can be outsourced to India
Also made a call to see if the east coast stuff as real. We have a 911 center in Illinois and the rumbles are the work may be moving to a contractor.
Being in the private line group offers us no peace. We see work dropping and company's moving to internet based data. With ATT pushing wireless service we all wonder how long it will be.
Considering a move to Ohio.
Keep thinking the west coast is the gold mine for att. an idea why Verizon sold Texas? Verizon was the dominate carrier in Texas not SBC or the renamed at&t. Keep thinking the east coast was small and insignificant and when they start dumping states as useless as California maybe you will wake up.
The person who posted the Frontier stuff was accurate. I called one of the remaining people in the 911 group and the moral is very low and no one expects to survive. even the Mobility people are worried.
I'm in Florida and we are not sure what will happen here.
