Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Trump Picks Fast-Food Executive Andrew Puzder As Labor Secretary

(1) advocates expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), a policy that bolsters income for the working poor with federal dollars, getting employers off the hook for paying poverty-level wages.

(2) opposes a $15 minimum wage

(3) opposes overtime rule to increase the salary threshold for overtime pay

Just another rich guy trying to screw working people out of a living wage.

Lol, a minimum wage has been around since 1938.

Also, too, I'd figure someone who references Friedman would have a basic understanding of "communism" - thanks for proving me wrong on that.

So making a living wage is keeps people down? Making a living wage is communism?

Absurd, nasty thinking that was never valid and is only used as a knee jerk response to any idea that is not entirely greed or corporate centered. The throw crap at the wall idea of conversation, it still does not stick and never will.

Please do not use the public streets, we as a society paid for them so they must be socialist.

Do not use the public water or sewer system, it reeks of communism.

Avoid the public schools, teaching rational thought makes them subversive.

Milton Friedman's ideas may give you a warm and fuzzy at night under the rock, but they are complete failures in the real world.

Minimum wage is set because if companies could pay workers the same rate they make in India, they would. Do you think if there was no minimum wage, companies would all of a sudden pay workers more?

"Look up Milton Friedman, " LOL.

Trump is filling his cabinet with billionaires to help the billionaires. Since when is it a good idea to give wealthy people more of our tax dollars?

This is completely unsurprising to anyone who didn't fall for Trump's empty promises. Good job, Trump supporters, you voted in a guy who will destroy you.
