Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

More hope .. and less layoffs thanks to Trump

Trump also released a statement Sunday from campaign economic adviser Peter Navarro reading, in part:

"AT&T, the original and abusive 'Ma Bell' telephone monopoly, is now trying to buy Time Warner and thus the wildly anti-Trump CNN. Donald Trump would never approve such a deal because it concentrates too much power in the hands of the too and powerful few."

Anyone stupid enough to believe Trump can or will (or has any interest in) actually saving jobs deserves all the disappointment they'll get when they find out he's a lying scumbag only interested in lining his own pockets.

You know, like with that Carrier thing ... turns out ol' Donny has a financial interest in the parent company, so that government bailout ended up fattening his wallet.

Freaking idiot.

speaking of the merger. if the merger goes through ma bell is going to have to let go of something of value. what will it be ? if ma bell wants to be a multi-service driven business.

Unless T is held legally accountable for the promises that Randy makes, it is meaningless. Randy will say anything to close the deal but becomes just hot air when it is approved. We live in an era of blatant and obvious public lies with no accountability ever.

Stephenson will agree to stay in hotels on business trips and promise CNN will be nice to him, then trump will deny he ever said he was going to stop the buyout.

You just haven't been paying attention if you think trump wasn't lying about being against this thing - he's just looking for some kind of personal gain out of the deal.

The deal could lead to “potential anticompetitive favoritism,” warned Sen. Mike Lee (R., Utah), amid the grilling of the two CEOs during a hearing that lasted about three hours. The hearing was in front of the Senate subcommittee on antitrust, competition policy and consumer rights.

"I wouldn't put too much faith in what Trump says but does." Regarding Mrs. Clinton, she is done so let her fade into history with no more attention, good or bad paid to her or her family. This is will be punishment enough. Sounds like a good business decision to me. Trump has real and meaningful issues to tackle, of those one is not to spend capital (monetary or human) on someone that the world will likely be soon shed of through natural causes.

I wouldn't put too much faith in what Trump says but does. He said he was going to appoint a special prosecutor to "look into" Clintons use of multiple private email accounts/servers yet recently he said he may not do that after all because he "doesn't want to hurt her".

Yeah I would whait and see. Didn't Randall praise him and touted having had a good positive conversation with him a few days ago? You just don't know with Trump.

I would hope any review of this plan would include impacts on customers and written, legally binding requirements to not offshore U.S. jobs.

The words change with the time of day, it is the actions that matter. I would wage money Donald's administration gives it a green light.

  1. Money has no sides.

  2. "...concentrates too much power in the hands of a few..". Sorta like the US Government.
