No, lazy is not good. I suspect that post is troll droppings.
I think most people, except upper management, work very hard at T. Working hard makes the time pass more quickly and gives a sense of accomplishment.
It is one of the corporate myths that everyone except upper management is a lazy parasite. But everyone who works for a living knows that idea is a large pile of dishonest crap that is spread by nasty people in custom suits at 3 martini lunches.
The only employees left at Verizon are either:
1-Those that can't find a job anywhere else
2-Temp/contract
3.. H1B
Lazy is good when you get paid, AAHhhhhhhhhhhhh,,,job security is good. No worries
Even more reason that we won't be going anywhere, Directv now is offered through internet connection. AT&T has line based internet and needs a work force to work it. Either way if they go totally wireless, they will just sell off the wire centers to the likes of Frontier communications like they did in Connecticut where they emphasize back to putting services on existing infastructure. The workforce may decline but it won't be gone even in the next 50 years
Strong in numbers? You're all a bunch of sheep! You're Paying a monthly fee to the red shirts to bargain for bad contracts and with Directv Now your days are numbered. You can have 3 months or 30 years with the company all of you are on your way out! Better start looking for another job buddy.
They should start with employees with 15-20 years in the company. Those are the laziest workers around. I wish this company paid piece rate instead of hourly. I can't stand to work around lazy, unmotivated, talentless dinosaur prem techs!
Do as little as possible, we are still here after 20+ years
Pulling your own weight or not, your bargained to do the minimum that the union bargained with the company. Going above and beyond to be better than other techs doesn't help but hurts the brotherhood union and gives the company more than they agreed while they still take away little by little every contract from us. Stay United, were only strong in numbers.
But it always goes from bottom up, doesn't matter if your performing/carrying your own weight or not. Seniority will apply.
Umm,half oh the workers in our yard are in light duty, ,,for years, the ones gone alwYs the new techs
Like I said I can't wait to see their faces when we tell them to kick rocks! Your union won't be able to do anything brother. Senior techs are not protected under operational commitment
This goat is skinny enough.
Don't count on it, the ones you refer to are senior employees, protected by union
There's a lot of techs that do not pull their own weight. I can't wait for the moment they get let go and their union won't be able to do anything to keep their job.
Time to trim the fat.
