RIFs are done for 2016. More reorganizations by year end. Next RIFs are 1st Qtr 2017.

@paf - Wireline IT is the biggest group of slackers in the company. And that's largely because there are more directors, associate directors and managers than there are actual employees. There is still plenty of fat (and fatheads) to cut. Especially since offshore IT does such a great job. (Ha, I crack myself up)
They NEVER announce RIFs at a Town Hall , I agree with @sgr..Wireless should be very concerned ...Wireline has already been cut down to the bone marrow

RIFS are never announced on a all hands call and this week will be the last of the RIFS for the year and off payroll by 12/31. I think they are done for the year. Wireline made their numbers, it is wireless that should be worried.
They are going to tell you to:

Work smarter, not harder.
No STI this year.
No cubes or assigned seats anymore.
You need to report to you new work location, 60 miles away.
And the people 60 miles away, will report to your current work location.

I wouldn't doubt it - they seem to be on a roll with the RIFS lately....
No it's the Lowell and Francis Christmas special. They don't announce RIFs on all hands calls. That comes after with a call from your director or manager.
