This new law was meant to increase the pay of those making under 47,000 that were exempt employees, not change some management positions (no manager3 or directors-why?) And cut their pay $2.00 an hour. Now, to get the same pay weekly you have to work 45 hrs a week, except they won't allow o.t. except when they say it is ok. The theory you will make the same at the end of the year is b---s---.
I do not need to work 60hrs a week more than twice a year. That is 40hrs of o.t. but I need to work 130ish hrs to make the same pay.
It is also illegal to require a hourly employee to work o.t. Therefore, cutting our pay is illegal. I hope they get audited.
Call the DEPT of labor and complain. Enough calls about the same company will trigger them to investigate.
