Only in USA, sometimes I do wonder about Americans

Any introductory economics class will teach you that the bedrock of capitalism is the idea of supply and demand, which relies on the assumption of competition within an economy. A lack of competition in the economy leads to monopolies, which are illegal in the United States, Yet they continue thriving right under Americans nose.

Trust me, I blame the government, they are in support of the grand, zero sum race to the bottom. Workers are fundamentally sold out to globalists, who get rich by wealth transfer. Ross Perot was not crazy.

The moment you say "you cannot pollute" you do not have a true free market.

The moment you say "everyone needs elementary education" you do not have a true free market.

The moment you say "only our citizens can work in our country" you do not have a true free market.

The moment you say "we need a central bank" you do not have a true free market.

There are no true free markets - only regulated markets exist, the more regulation there is the likely it is for oligopolies to occur as they use regulation to shield their own turf and create barriers to entry.

Supply and demand is only a portion of what is called capitalism. Capitalism was term coined by Marx in order to attack the idea of a Free Market. He figured using these terms would make people lash out against it because of envy; it worked and has been working.

Monopolies cannot exist in a true free market as the market would self adjust and new ideas and/or competition would naturally occur. It is not the lack of competition that is the problem, but interventionism. It is the regulations and legislation that a state puts in place. Without government intervention, a monopoly cannot exist. The system we have today is not, and has never been a true form of capitalism; it has been mixed. That mix has slowly crept more toward interventionism and socialism.

What we have today is actually Corporatism, or what is commonly known as Fascism. It is the reason monopolies exist and that they continue to grow.

I challenge you folks to blame the root of the problem, your own government.

Check out this chart - it explains my oligopoly (four firms or less controlling an industry):

Oligopoly would be the word here - that is not illegal, and that is how the US economy operates now
