Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

BAD FROM ANY ANGLE

I heard that T CEO will need to borrow 20 billion in addition to the 80 billion offered to TW, I don't think the company has repaid the 68 billion for DTV, if this deal goes through the company will have a debt in excess of 220 billion in their books, I am not sure how someone can innovate with this level of exposure, nor who will want to partner with T.

"free money"?? I see the folks who get all of this "free money" as a consolation prize particularly when you've worked hard at a company who pays for horrible buys with people's jobs in order to appease wallstreet, luckily analysts and large institutional shareholders are starting to lift under the hood.

good luck to you in your kool aid stupor.

So you're just pissed because you can't get more free money while you piddle around looking for a new job.

Haha, what a ridiculous troll post, "compensation package", in 2012 it was 100% of your salary, now is close to 40%, next year will probable be half of that.

It is okay to get your notice. When companies have a bad cycle, or a downturn, but there is not excuse when you takeover companies, chop, divest, and get rid of employees just to satisfied the stock market

How did they get screwed? People getting laid off all the time by all kinds of companies. And they did get a compensation package

The sad truth is good people get screwed and let go and the T spends billions buying the next new shiny thing!! I've never worked for a large company that treats the people that built it so bad! And what's funny is they want the public to think they are such a caring company to there workers....lol

You can't innovate with this level of debt load distraction. The other problem is that no one is vetting Randall's decisions. He's the Chairman too. So the board takes the shiny used car and other similarly flawed strategies as some sort of gospel.
