Lol as a skilled MST my knowledge and duties and phys work are less than a average auto mech....Get real I don't se a auto mech hooking poles in the rain working on wet lead all day! Troubleshooting uverse,Hi-cap cronic issues no one can figure out.....that's why we make the higher pay!! 💰💰
As an Service Technician of 8 years with American Thieves and Thugs, I can see both sides of the coin. In my previous employment as a Auto mechanic, I completed 2 years of trade school, one year of internship and 8 years working at a high line dealership. Having obtained ASE master status I was making about $23.00 per hour, in 2008. Now I make well over $30.00 per hour. The amount of knowledge and physical work required to be a phoneman is substantially lower than that of a average mechanic. I KNEW it couldn't last, but it's surreal to be surrounded by mostly uneducated lads who feel entitled to their union wages, benefits and double time, uniforms, tools, etc. Most of this workforce is in denial and are unable to comprehend that the world and the technological climate has changed. I kept my certs current, fortunately. Gonna be a lotta crying when the figurative Att mountain man comes down to Ned Beatty the hold outs. Welcome to reality, it's cold out.

Why doesn't Randy et al evolve from the slimy car salesman to one where his leading counterparts are making cool stuff that people want I buy and/or consume.

This is probably the same person that told tenured senior staff to "get out of here! GET OUT!! What this person is failing to realize is that this company has also said that it won't be filling jobs in the US. I'm retooling my skills too, but not for corporate shills like these so called leaders.
