Sprint couldn't merge with T-Mobile..and from that we got lower prices and more data...If this merger happens cable bill will tip over 200.00 a month .
We need to break up the cable companies as much as the big banks. the whole system is so rigged, it's not even funny any more. All we have left are layoffs.
ATT isn't buying the cable side of Time Warner, they're buying the content side - the studios, HBO, etc.
I simply cannot see the government passing this deal without major pruning of TW's business units and other concessions, if at all!
Indeed, I plan to just use the net (Netflix and similar streamers) and cancel my time warner aka Spectrum cable. I have about 400 channels and never can find anything to watch, the better shows are on new channels which I'd have to pay even more for.
