Cancel all multi-year software contracts with IBM, oracle, CA etc. Replace them with openstack and freeware.
Replace all *Y2K and arm-chair email forwarder managers/AD with hands-on prestigious college graduates technical managers.
Completely abolish people management concept, rather implement concept of Project manager and pool of resources.
Wireless Network can run fine without IT. IT is introduced in Wireless Network to reduce the cost. If you show that year-to-year basis, you are failure.
Nothing else but Appreciate, Appreciate and Appreciate you employee !!!

*Y2K: just before onset of the year 2000, IT industries in US in panic mode hired bunch of IT professional from India just to handle the impact of the computer date from 1999 to 2000. 90% of those H1B has either fake degree or graduated from Indian Institutes which give you admission not on the basis of merit but the amount you pay for admission. 90% of current verizon AD/Director under Shanker falls under those category.

Board of Directors, if you liked my high level plan of actions, reply to this open letter. Unlike Shanker or Lowell , I will just take $1/year token appreciation for my service.

If you could figure out how to funnel that $33M savings directly into Lowell's bank account, he definitely hire you .... but only for $1. He doesn't want you cutting into his bottom line. That is the real credo at Verizon.

Shankar has vision to lead our organisation to great success! Friend you deny credo. Diversity is our power. VDSI will create the opportunity for most productive Verison. Will assume many responsibility which the American afraid. Now network and the IT can be completed by VDSI with some American contractor. Most other soon!

OP, we are not interested in being successful or appreciating our employees success in the workplace. Our number one goal is to put as many American workers on the unemployment line as possible and watch our bank accounts overflow in the meantime. We will however consider your proposal to pay our employees $1 per year.
