I agree with @JzXTloL-urt if AT&T had any way of deploying "airgig" they would've announced its launch. If anything the service is 10-15 years out of not more. From what I've read this isn't the first time they've tried this.
Pfffftt, they won't have to block the air gig thing because it won't happen. That announcement was all about trying to scare Google off offering some kind of wireless broadband service. The company is deathly scared of Google in all areas.
It will be interesting to find out if state government can block AT&T with their gigapower roll out. Well that is if gigapower actually works which I doubt it very much. This has been tried before and failed by others.
Out of curiosity, couldn't the power companies apply the same standard to the Air-Gig rollout? Can the landline guys climb power polls to install it? I'm Mobility and don't know a lot about landline.
