Surplus in TEMS center, but since our last contract when the CWA decided to lump all Tel. Specs together, the TEMS folks can now bump C.O. techs out of their jobs. 11 surplussed in TEMS but 4 C.O. tech lose their jobs. Thanks AT&T and the CWA.

What did TEMS do besides digital cross connects? How did they become qualified in the myriad of switch, cxr and other technologies in which C.O. techs must be proficient? I wouldn't want to be the T.S.'s kicked to the street nor the ones who must perform flawlessly in their places on day one.
