After i received my surplus notification, I have the company my 2 weeks notice, got 3 interviews with various companies, and hired the day after left AT&T, this is by far the best decision that I had ever made, I worked now for a better company, 30% increase in salary, 4 weeks vacation, unlimited sick time, 7 personal days, and last but no least , a company theat value dedicated employees.. thank you AT&T, I need it that

My director who I had never met called me two weeks before the severance letter went out to let me know. They had a slot for me in another state but they would move me at their expense. I looked up the indirect cost to lay me off which was $15,000 and sent that to my director via email. I tool the severance and lined up another job at a better company and never looked back.

The usual form, management holds a meeting informing with all workgroup employees to inform of potential impact.

Management & HR hold a meeting with the impacted employees to inform them of the impact. Short time later, 60 day letter is released to impacted employee.
