Sorry, I forgot, Verizon has "LTE Advanced." How many more quarters of getting crushed by the competition will it take, before we start offering the customer what they want, at a price they can afford?

The opposite of a verizon earnings call.
Went to Sprint after the strike, got 4 Iphone 6s for the price of 2. Got the unlimited plan for 5 phones total, love it. Service is good, better than I expected. Verizon is a rip off the employee plan is a joke. I was loyal to the company until they threw me out for six weeks. Now I'm a consumer and I don't expect to be back.
I dropped VZ Wireless during the strike, went to AT&T. Cut off 3 Verizon lines with 15 GB share data, went to 4 AT&T lines with unlimited talk text and 20 GB of data, which allows us to carry over the unused. Got BOGO deals on 2 Samsung S7 actives and 2 S7 edges (didn't get a Note, LOL). Changed the VZ landline employee discount for the discount AT&T gives to all Union members.
Bill went down $100 month.
Wait. Where did X-LTE go.
Now it's ADVANCED LTE..?
Laughable to the max at Verizon.

I have T-Mobile 4 line plan (unlimited call/texts and 2.5G/line) for $85/month after federal employee discount (without discount $100/month). The best part is NO ROAMING charges for 2G/3G/4G LTE throughout 200+ countries around the world. I travel a lot and I don't have to buy data card ever. I went to the Baltic states last month via Copenhagen. As soon as the plan landed on the runway of the Copenhagen airport, I was connected to 4G/LTE which was almost as fast as WIFI. I got at least 3G speed throughout the whole trip and used less then 0.5G of data. I was surprised why people are still so stupid to join Verizon Wireless. They costs at least $100 more per month.
I just switched to t-moblie .had family plan with verizon for about 12 years and I work for verizon I'm saving $120 a month by switching and getting way more data with t-moblie.i even had verizon discount which really amount to pennies a real good discount they give their employees ..lol..im happy with t-moblie service same and saving me monthly...
1eip got it right. That shamwow thinking and lowmac mismanagement is what has brought the company to where it is, grasping for straws and gasping for breath. There is no difference anymore between carriers apart from price. The company lowered its standards, stopped reinvesting in its core businesses and now has squandered its pole position. There is no more compelling reason for customers to pay a premium to verizon for the same service all the others provide. The company is no longer 'better' than its competitors.
@JsISP6F-1eip That time was not that long ago at all. The culture of this company has not changed in that little period of time. I feel you "Idiot" comment is way out of line. I think the point here is, this is the leadership that has got us here, these are the decisions that were being made for our future then, and is for most part these same people are still here. When is this leadership going to be held accountable for these horrible decisions? Like the article posted.

@1lvz you haven't used T-Mobile in a while. We have nothing superior here - the coverage is rock solid and the speed is comparable. They have certainly caught up. Now, will content save us?
"Verizon still has the best product out there". Not anymore. Not since Lowell and shamwow took over. Because they spent the company's money and goodwill on pipe dreams instead of maintaining its cutting edge networks, T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T has caught up with Verizon. Now there is no serious differentiating characteristics between providers apart from price. How stupid! Plus the company has given up its FiOS competitive advantage over cable as well. Was AOL and Go90 really worth it? I don't think so.
You can charge more for a superior product. The gap may be closing, but Verizon still has the best product out there and cash charge more for service. If the third quarter adds are low and carriers like T-Mobile have a strong quarter then the market determined that Verizon's superiority isn't enough to justify the cost and VZ will have to adjust
