I've been a tech now for AT&T for about 6 months now and everyone is saying that we are next too go. Is it worth applying to Frontier or just stick it out and ignore everyone

400 prem techs to be laid off by the end of this year in southwest altomari loves contractors. Thats what the company is gonna go to! Im not sticking around to see it. My advice be proactive and start putting applications in. Layoffs go by senority!
Continue your education while employed, and take all the benefits the company provides to better you career outlook, now, You probably were already approached by the union, "the inevitable proposition", unfortunately seniority put you a disadvantage right from the start, the odds you will make a career in your current position are quite low, survival of the fittest in life and employments is the new normal, best luck to you
What's DFS?
Frontier treats people a lot better than ATT does. The techs in CT say the old ways are back. Fix the trouble and if help is needed call. They want it fixed and want to avoid call backs. If you can remember beyond the days when SBC s---ed up the companies you will remember how it was.
ATT wants all wireless and will dump the wireline and wired video without looking back.
If you read the posts here you will see a lot of jobs being dumped. some will deny they are in jeopardy right up to the last day.
You may want to apply to Frontier. As AT$T merges IEFS and DFS layoffs will almost certainly occur.
