Speculation is running rampant for southwest region. Mandatory meeting for Thursday morning. Managers won't answer why or what meeting is about. Surplus? Reorganization?

5 Service Reps Surplused
Any info on Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and other Texas areas? Other union districts post this info but since district 6 is in bed with the company, the post only the minimal info and then bury it under other news. Our district 6 is absolutely useless!

Houston Surplus Meeting this morning 20+ TFS positions
Surplus of southwest i&r is what was told this morning. Lubbock, Wichita Falls, Fort Worth are affected.
Far as I can piece together, only occupational. One manager stated that the I&R and SD&A merger was completed and that they are looking at either wire or prem techs to cut. Based on the pevious numbers seen in other surplus locations, seems that the system techs take the brunt of it.
Hate to be a "Debbie Downer" but the building wiring was probably pre-programmed as part of some older budget and are now getting around to it. Saw that happen at two locations, one was completely closed down once all new phones were installed and the other, the whole building was redone and then 3/4 of the space leased out commercially.
New wiring? Wow..I guess if your building has new wires you'll always have a job...NOT
I'm in Florida and they are vamping up our center with new wiring so I feel we are not part of the surplus. Best of luck to all
Is this surplus only management or do the reps have to worry as well?
Company wide TFS and Entertainment Group. Numbers announced with sipp offers today. To be continued.
Sweet, my ticket out of here :)
AT&T Midwest confirmed "possible surplus" announcement affecting 81 staff in their region under Walsh and Reagan. Wonder how many more to go?
