The new AT&T have been doing this for years by moving jobs around to different states and have lost a lot of knowledge and experience in the process.

why is it that close to the 3rd quarter of every year AT&T ask for volunteers to leave or /and they do management layoffs? Some division heads can't figure out how to make their numbers$$$ and they take the easy road and cut personnel to balance.
Yes, it is a two way deal but it is not an equal relationship. The company has all the leverage and it is difficult to change jobs.
2vult sounds a little bitter, it was a two way deal. How long does it take to do a deposit waiver? How many millions did your hubby generate during the good ol days to now?
I'm not trolling it too hard here, I'm looking at being out in the next year or two but I won't say it hasent been sweet even though I gave up 4 of 16 years as a contractor getting paid d--k before getting onboarded to create a new department.
The T has reverse Midas touch....everything they touch turns to crap...and Good people replaced with low paid non experienced people that have no clue of the job!!
AT&T is selfish like all the rest of these money hungry companies seeking more and more to fill and line their own pockets! My husband a devoted father gave his every fiber to this company for 22 years!! I can remember family vacations and family dinners where he "excused himself" to handle a problem after hours or do a deposit waiver!!! So so many times the job was always there. Did he every get compensated for overtime or time on weekends or evenings? Of course not! They preach "work life balance" big joke!! They start the new year with their typical BS and then oh surprise HR conference call, oh btw/ you are all losing your jobs and your last day officially is March 31st! Great way to ring in the new year! I will be transferring all of my phone lines over to one of the competitors asap. The thought of giving these crooks any more of my business sickens me! "Restructuring they call it" or "making changes for the better" they call it! When you take someone's job who has devoted 22 years to you and helped you put millions of dollars into your already full pockets to sit I your corporate offices with all your money, that's not restructuring. That's Greed!
Yeah today att let go so many employees (ASM) it's a shame there trying to get rid of Cor stores aswell, when u think ur safe ur really not!!
Has anyone else realized that the mobile contract negotiations start on 1/25 and that people are stating that ASM's will find out on 1/27? Would they come out then and say what stores are closing then or wait a while?
Did yall not realize this when you went over the 2020 plan... You will have to look into it yourself the managers will not openly admit this
yes prepare to be whacked.
I guess AT&T will keep laying off people every 3 months then.
agree, it does not care about the employee and the service is degraded as well
AT&T does not care about it's employees. That has been made crystal clear to us legacy DTV. They seem to want you to seek out people to kiss a$$ as a "mentor" when it's ridiculous and not going to get us anywhere. Plus, I'm more educated than most of the people that are in higher positions above me! I don't need them to mentor me in bullsh!t politicking. I'm biding time until I get surplussed or find another job. What a terrible destruction of a wonderful company to work for in DTV. Sad.
Every month, someone gets cut
