No name naming, site rules. Admins will nuke the whole thread.
So who is Nate? What side of the company does he come from...never heard his name.
Nate that my baby daddy how you know him
60%? More like 6%
In ATO there are managers with groups that are 100% contractors, the norm being 70% to 80%. Easy to verify by going to webphone. ATO people are being replace with Tech Mehindra contractors in India, who are probably 60% of the cost of an employee. Sad times.
I love predict there's a cozy Randall fireside chat to explain all of this way. Stay focused people. We've got shiny objects to buy and destroy.
Who is this Nate?
If the dispatch system that Nate spoke about
is so good at forecasting what the weather and the load is in the future I wish they would send me the lottery numbers....
Hard working employees pay for the idiot mistskes of Randal the used car salesman!....Karma will rear its head in time! You don't see him sacrificing any of his Bloated salary 💵💵💵💵
The thing I don't understand is, who is going to work for this company? There will come a day when they will need to attract new talent. Anyone who is even a tiny bit informed will avoid this company like the plague. Who would choose to live their life in 90 day pieces?
I went therough one of Ramdalls layoffs in 2015. Sorry to hear about another layoff. It seems to AT&T's main thing these days. Keep your chin up folks.
I remember when DOC took over Force assignments. It added an unnecessary layer that lengthened customer impact during network outages. I've been surplused before and it is not a pleasant experience. Better days are ahead in another career for the majority of us.
DOC = "Dispatch Optimization Center"
Essentially all of the dispatch functions within the enterprise (if I understand correctly). A leadership team was put in place over the organization to find ways of automating/mechanizing what humans do today. As an employee I don't like it but as a business I can understand why it's being done. Why pay millions in salaries every year when you can invest in a machine and save a ton? Machines don't b--ch, they don't call out, they don't have family problems. This is where the world is going. Start learning how to build/maintain the machine or you'll be outbid a job.
Sorry, what's the DOC?
Welcome to AT&T
Yep totally agree. 8 billion went up in smoke when Randy made that fails sweetheart deal. Who comes up with paying 8 billion cash/spectrum if deal doesn't go through. It's that sort of recklessness I see often. Big drops, slow drips. All add up.
This isn't about reduced work volumes, this is about poor financial decisions by the "officers" and it's being paid for by getting rid of hard working employees.
