Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Retail / National Account Executive- Mobility / Entertainment Group.

This is basically the end of our organization as they continue to eliminate our responsibilities.

With such a reduction in the amount of support we are providing our partners now and in the future the writing is on the wall.

Made it out of the last surplus but now it is worse than ever.

Leadership still pushing for metric results but that is nothing more than a statistic to wrap up one of our worst years in wireless.

The notion that DTV customers would rush and sign up for T never happened and never will, The "walk out watching" was a dismal flop.

Now comes more staff reduction as the only way to save face.

It's hard to believe this is where are organization is headed considering where we were only a year ago. As the NAE and RAE positions are eliminated that only leaves the ARSM role to support what is left. Don't look to management for an honest answer as they are all making back room deals again to try and hang on. So what's left other than the dreaded COR roles us? The answer is nothing! Once you get your S badge you are no longer part of the team.

No one is safe including Mobility they are still hiring overseas and are reduced to only 2 business centers Jopli and Greensboro there was 4 not to long ago and with T changing to Opus would not be hard to train Consumer reps to do business accts or to just send them overseas all together not to mention the more automated the less reps needed. By the way we are losing managers and reps in thise 2 centers not being replaced so what does that tell you? The writing is on the wall. As far as severence its in the union contract so you will get it when surplusef and beleive me you will be surplused at some point.
