So our CEO can totally f--- up a merger between AT&T and Sprint and lose $4 billion dollars and spectrum and he still has a job. Mobility is run on skeleton crews makes money and they lay off some of their tech workforce because we are "low on work". Why are there still contractors doing our work? Oh yeah, that right because the CWA completely rolled over on it like they always do! THE CWA is useless and is stealing our money and padding their own pockets! Then the CWA allows the company's that are purchased by AT&T to bring in their employees and they get rolled right into our contract with their seniority bumping techs down the ladder even though they have been paying their union dues for 6 months to a year. F--- THE CWA AND F--- AT&T!!!!

They sh-- canned a bunch of office staff and and retail wireless jobs this past year. So drink the koolaid. And wireless techs are far from lazy.
Maybe if idiots didn't try to post false info on here to get people fired up....like the Mobility rep that works in a office slamming outside techs and has no clue about their job/salary/or job security etc...
He actually didn't take a bonus after he loss like 8 billion in cash and spectrum on that stupid deal he dreamt up which was UNPRECEDENTED ie "if we don't close this deal, tmobile, we give you cash and spectrum.
But he was SOOOO confident the deal would go through, until the FCC uncovered some "misrepresentations" on the amount of jobs Randy said this deal would create, when the opposite was true.
The anatomy of that deal and terms were reckless. To me nothings changed about Randy. He's still chasing shiny objects with his blank check book. And now he counterbalances his lack of vision and failed executions with jobs. Bodies pay for his mistakes.
If T is trying to reduce cost by 1,000,000.00, than just think about this. If our CEO were to give up just one of his 25 million he made this year it would save some of us. He started at the bottom so he says. If this is true put some money back and save a few of us. All that would happen is he would gain some respect from all. Help to make america great again Randy!
@2yke..,yep this is the stuff leadership prefers. The infighting. It takes the focus off of Randy and how we got here with poor leadership, failed long term strategy, too late/too slow to the content party and not being able to monetize winners when we were better poised. Timing is everything and selling used cars with a toothy smile runs its course when investors start to ask questions.
Let's not turn against ourselves. It's bad culture and surplus just exposes that more.
One of the reasons why the Techs are getting canned is because of the money they make there is an effort by T to reduce cost by 1,000,000.00 so your job will be outsourced for cheeper labor labor while front line who do make less will be fine. Maybe you should rethink your career and except the fact that the days of being in drive with the foot on the brake is over.
People are unable to provide for their families as a result of this insanity and instead of banding together in solidarity and showing compassion you turn on each other in the same cut-throat manner of those causing this. Show some compassion for others, no one is immune.

Thanks for the post...this mobility rep has no clue what a outside MST or mobility tower techs job is or they pay we bring in. And our position is much safer from layoffs than his.
@adv - I hate to tell you this, but the landline folks make more than twice as much as the top of the CSR's or BCSS1's pay scale (the front line folks you're talking about).
I also hate to tell you, but the call centers are "cost" centers. They'll never make a profit for the company. That's why they want to outsource them. Someone else can pay less than the bargained for wages and T doesn't have to provide benefits either that way.

Haha the Laziest? Try to climb the cell towers I work at, I am a tower transmission technician, and often work at heights of up to 1,500 feet, performing maintenance and repair work for cellular phone and other wireless communications companies and Spy agency dirt boxes

It's amazing they fail to trim from the abundance of fat in the wireline side of the house. I have bumped into several att wireline techs asleep in their truck park in cell site driveways. I've also been told by numerous wireline techs that they have no work so they have to go find a spot to hide while holding their foot on the brake pedal while vehicle in drive to avoid being called out for excessive idling. They put GPS units on our trucks and micro manage us to death then have to have a daily msoc call to go over daily numbers that are never correct and when you call it out your told well just go with it, it will work itself out! This company is riddled with fat from the top down and mobility is the last place needing cuts!
