A commercial real estate agent posted on the dfw real estate news blog that T is planning to cut office space in LA and move people to Dal in next 12 months. They are also building a new creative media lab and additional space in Collin County.

from what I have seen over a period of time, at&t has been trying to reduce jobs in California and move them to Texas. T thinks that California is expensive in terms of salaries and real estate costs (commercial and residential) compared to Texas (its true). So the jobs that are necessary to stay physically in California will stay in California, otherwise they will move to Texas and in some cases offshore.
Oh look! More anti-El Segundo FUD from some desperate AT&T'er in Dallas or Atlanta.
Well, this was interesting. Particularly in the fact that absolutely nowhere in the linked article was there any mention (nor even implication) regarding anything involving either LA or Atlanta.
Just another legacy T-hole trying to stir up dissention throut speculation, rumor, and irrational anger toward LA and legacy DIRECTV workers.

The whole "AT&T is getting rid of El Segundo" rumor is so lame and overplayed on this site that it's starting to become a jump the shark moment for this site's credibility. It's almost as if the people posting this (or person) is hoping that everyone in El Segundo just quits so that T legacy jobs will be spared.
Give me a break.
