Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Randy's on the hunt for a new shiny toy!

"AT&T Chief Executive Officer Randall Stephenson keeps a spreadsheet of about 40 to 45 companies -- a collection of peers and potential takeover targets -- that he studies on his tablet as he plans his next big move," sources tell Bloomberg.

oh but wait there's more...."When other executives might grab a magazine as they board an airplane, Stephenson works his list, the people said."

"Works his list"...?? I'd pay big money to see this reenacted on SNL. He works his list as the inside parts of the company implodes. What if he does luck up and buys an innovative media content company. How do you absorb something that you could never reproduce or even sustain in your own company.

I cant believe he basically has a blank checkbook....at this point its no more "scientific" than Russian Roulette. He's just hoping something will stick. And not one board member/investor questions any of this?

OMG this is a real quote from Bloomberg!! LOL...why not plan to clean up the culture? Why not really commit to create an environment where people are encouraged to innovate instead of punishing some of those who I know who were two steps ahead with outstanding ideas, but frustrated directors - because what do you do with someone who won't "stay under the radar" and "keep your head down and your mouth shut".

A director actually told my whole team that who were previously celebrated for process improvement.
