Hearing wireline and wireless RIFS layoffs and surplusses across the board in the NE. Everytime one region gets thinned another looks heavy so we cut that region. We are losing major wireless accounts at a steady pace and it has attracked major attention in HQ. There is a semi-big push to have wireline install the "VoiceLink" product while ignoring the huge downfalls. There will be no more fios money invested in wireline unless for absolute critical upkeep of existing fios infrastructure. That being said wireline is looking to shed more RE throughout 2017 also, CEntral Offices in the wireline side are a target once again. More movement of associates and management will be expected. HQ still subscribes to "the more uncomfortable they are the more they will produce what we want them to produce."
Hearing that it will be a "pink" Christmas this year. Pink slips will be falling like snowflakes. Off payroll by Jan 1. Merry Christmas........again.
