Surplus Package to be Modified 1Q2017

For those who aren't effected by a recently announced surplus, if you're effected by one in 2017 your package will be less. Rumor I've been hearing is cutting benefits in half (at least for Management). This means instead of up to 6 months of pay it will be up to 3.

There have been no changes to the mgmt. severance plan in 2017. Stop spreading misinformation. It's not a secret. Go look it up. It states exactly what is covered and the date it was effective (8/1/15)

2016 is the last year for AT&T to pay 6 months severance. IBM went from 6 months to 1 month this year with no backlash. ATT will follow IBMs lead in 2017. Huge saving for ATT with increasingly layoffs next year. Heed the warning all those who are offered voluntary layoff this year. These will be the lucky ones.

Haha what a loser to be AT&T workers, they are defeated, learn to concede that and be good losers

IBM now pays 30 days only. All companies are cutting.

They will always cut.

The days when companies cared about employees are over.

We are all in this 'on demand economy' - we'll all drive Uber cars, we'll show up and be paid only when they need us - that's where all of this is going
