Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Top 10

Basic Points:

Bye DTV along with their employees

The new streaming service relies heavily on luck

The Air Gig diversion, the new PR campaign

Qualcon drone object PR campaign to layoff cell tower techs

Their massive Phantom fiber footprint is starting to become very small

The ‘IP Transition’ was a con job from the start—to push customers onto wireless.

AT&T wireless replacement for a landline is called “Wireless Home Phone” — and it can’t do IP and it can’t handle basic data applications, like alarm services.

The numbers are terrible—AT&T lost 32% of the ‘legacy telephone customers’ and even with new “IP” customers, it lost approximately 15% of the entire original client base.

The company is manipulating the stats for a “Happy Face” and the information has been redacted. This data should be public.

AT&T spent millions on these trials for just two towns. We want to know how much it cost per acquisition of each new customer and what were the losses from losing 32% of its active telephone customers.

Announcing the Death of the IP Transition Trials was Premature.

The "airgig" flim flam is easily one of the dumbest wool over the eyes pr bs I have seen in a while. What a load of garbage T spews out believing people will be conned into their theoretical non existent future tech. Their streaming service will fail as soon as competing isps choke off the bandwith to the app in favor of their own and when T complains to the FCC they'll just hand them a mirror.

I remember before the merger, lots of promises were made, few layoffs was one of them, but no one ever considered the complete elimination of DTV employees, they sure gave that appearance to hide the true nature , AT&T's mask doesn’t disguise It's identity.

Hey Telecom Titan, you used to Build it, now you are Buying iIt?

With the amount of profit DIRECTV brings in each year (about $2.9 billion), it will take AT&T more than two decades to pay for this merger, no counting any interest this debt may represents AT&T’s executives may not be good at innovating, but they do know how to grow profits by killing competition. Buying DIRECTV will reduce pay-TV choice for about a quarter of the U.S. population. And with that comes higher prices.

Indeed, as Recon Analytics analyst Roger Entner noted, “This deal is about getting more money from the same customers.” Merry christmas

No doubt Randy will retire with his many tens of millions before his chickens come home to roost.
