Usually when a surplus is declared, all those in that title get the offer. That would make sense since surplus locations are all over the state. I am hoping it shows up in my mailbox. And for all those looking to leave, I hope you receive it as well.

It would have made sense to offer the EISP to everyone then hire a new bunch at $10 an hour. However in 20 yrs I learned if it makes sense the way Verizon does things then It's time to start to worry.
If you question the EISP you haven't been here very long. Every offer that comes out is confusing. Just like the other things they do, it makes no sense.

I think the company is using this as a bargaining chip to get the union to loosen up on the 35 mile rule. If the union allows more miles, I bet more associates get the EISP. I know we fought for this but don't be surprised.
The way this EISP is being offered seems rather strange to me. It is a targeted EISP. My whole work group received a package. Funny thing is we are not over staffed at all. I do not understand the strategy behind this. I am not able to go. I need 7 more years. I know of many if different areas and different job titles that want to leave desperately. They need to offer it to everybody and after the dust settles offer those jobs to those that would like to transfer into them.
