Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Stop complaining about HR and just leave already if you're that unhappy. We are a great asset to this company and we do our jobs. Sick of this!

your job is document everything so management doesn't get sued. HR was flacid in its support of employees being abused. HR lied about employees. HR tried to trap employees into situations that would leave no option but to resign.

If you can be good at all that, don't expect the employees to say thank you.

An asset to the company? Half of you don't or can't even say hello to your fellow coworkers.

In the 12 years that I have been at Follett, I have gone to HR twice for issues within my dept.

Both times they immediately went to my manager to tell them what was said, Really!!

I come to you for advice and confidentially and with minutes you are doing what I asked you not to do.

You want us to trust you, but how can we?

Many years had a great person help me get a job at Follett, before it fell apart. Have had some pretty good help with hr support, Kronos issues. BUT our own HR person I don't trust. You are guilty & have to prove innocence. They do not support us at all.

I have to admit I met a fantastic girl there in HR and had a great relationship. We worked together and had fun. After uncovering some issues, she left as HR was going down the crapper. A few years later, I left as the company I thought once was, is no longer.

So I'll stick up for the one HR girl And the department then.

I prefer the description Personnel, it is more accurate.

no, not a family member or any relation. I just don't see what the problems are. what do you need them for other than payroll and healthcare questions? Everyone knows that they can't go to HR with any real issues or get black balled-learned that one. Get a life please

You know a company is going down fast when HR loses their s*** on a message board. It's not a question of you doing your jobs.. it's HOW you do your jobs. Great asset? Not gonna buy that one. You lose HR talent far faster than you can keep it.

You're a water carrier for the company. Human resources should be renamed to Company Asset Protection at the expense of Employees.

I have personally never had an issue other than all the turnover, not sure why everyone is complaining
