It depends where you are this pre and post 2003 thing. The no pension thing is what post 2012? In our center new hires have preferential treatment we all know it. And you're wrong the company will put out blacklists and targets against you for purely business reasons. We're a business. It's just business the cocaine hitman used to say those words. The union sold out to the company in 2012 we all lost big but in the end it was the company's pressure

@pocoloco @eispdreams any news of EISP in NY state? These union jobs for post 2003 hires are in name only. We get no pension, no job protection, work EVERY Saturday can't get ANY vacation days have to wait 7 years b4 an extra week off, harassed by union members because we want to enjoy our lives and take sold time work the worst shifts and pay union dues! The ONLY benefit we have is we get paid decently per hour but what good is that if EVERYDAY you go to work thinking today might be the day you get fired! Is it all the unions fault? MOSTLY because they cared about themselves and not those who would come after them. In Solidarity my @$$ Some offices are closed weekends and after 6pm while some work til 9 and every Saturday. I get it "you did your time" thats a poor attitude to have how bout u do it NOW not 20 years ago when you had the best job on the planet! Only selling Long distance and caller ID. LOL. I was on the picket line 7 weeks in support of the people who were really sacrificing because they have families and I was cheated a summer because our unions worked out a plan to have us back to work the day we become eligible for unemployment! What a joke. I'll take the EISP if it's offered I have the skills, education and experience to do something else. The strike should have gotten us something. For that we could have stood at work, 7 weeks of salary I will never be able to recoup. And the union has the gall to question some people why they weren't on picket duty? Hey Union can you hear me now?

Bring it on! I am jumping on the next EISP train oudda here. I was hired post 2003, so I feel that I am working under a different contract, so absolutely no union loyalty for me. The company has created an atmosphere of no chance for advancement and bad customer service. This was never a good "career" position. Even if you are satisfied with a low level position and no advancement for the rest of your life, you will be constantly in danger of losing your job. I choose to move on to where I can control my own destiny. Where I can be compensated for my expericence and appreicated for my loyalty. Good luck to the rest of you schmucks.

"Without a union, you will be unemployed. " Again, stoopidhead, let us repeat: "there is no layoff protection for post 2003 hires." Good grief, you union DERPS are dense.

@vqh.....your a moron....Keep thinking Verizon will take care of you. Without a union, you will be unemployed. Guaranteed. All your great pay and benefits are because us striking union workers sacrificed 7 weeks pay. I was hired in 2006

The company doesn't post lists of employees who choose not to strike.

The company doesn't call employees scabs and harass them.

Post-2003ers can be laid off, so it's not like there's anything "protected" to walk out of the job for. The pre-2003 associates are protected and they should take the EISP. Your harassment is unwarranted and does no good for post-2003 associates.

1zkz , I am not taking the EISP now. I worked and fought long and hard for what I earned, EVERY LAST DIME, PLUS BENEFITS. You say "leave us alone", the only thing bothering you is the company, and they will never leave you alone.

I started union and I will end my career union

It doesn't matter for post-2003ers. They can get laid off just like non-union employees. Again, take your EISP and leave us alone. We'll be fine without the harassment of the pre-2003ers.

I'm a post 2003 union member. Without the Union our pay and benefits would be a lot worse. Don't be a scab

yeah some people have no clue what a fight can produce, like keeping JSL in force, or the no transfer within 35 miles. when i leave it will be when I want, not the company. all the post 2003 folks, grow a set and dont cross the line, then your spineless kind wont be on a list....you will be fighting with us!

@1ljw It is the Pre 2003ers that is the reason you have this job, and enjoy it's great benefits. No thanks to people like you, that's for sure. If left up to you.....you would have Verizon dictate your salary, and benefits?? Good luck with that.

And if it were up to Verizon? You wouldn't be working here.

You are just to stupid and blind to see that i guess.

Hopefully as many pre-2003 associates as possible take the EISP and leave the post-2003ers alone. Take your money and leave us alone so that we won't have to deal with lists or scab namecalling in 2019 from you. Enjoy your retirement and allow the post 2003ers to work without Union harassment from the protected class.
