Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Not layoff related, but ..

Our group had a meeting with our 5th level today who openly admitted to us that the Company is intentionally sacrificing the quality of existing POTS services to "force" customers to switch to "newer" services. I knew the Company was doing this but to have someone in leadership admit to it? Amazing.

Not true. It doesn't say anything about names being prohibited CEO and c suite names are used all the time. There's a post about Randall everyday. 2 posts which disagreed with the other were removed. Truth is in them both. Admin removed based on specific request.

I'm always suspicious of the posts that "go missing" that's where the truth likely is.

You mean the posts that stated that Randy and Wheeler were buddies? And the other one which retorted with the last 5 fines in 5 years, that Wheeler had soured toward ole used car salesman Randy? And that maybe the relationship was no longer tight? that one?

(lets see if this one disappears.)

What 5th level might this be? My 5th level would be a senior vice president, 2 levels below Randall.

Can't wait to see what FCC will do regarding this. I hope AT&T is prepared for a class action suit.

This isn't explosive news, most people with digital lines w/ cable providers are utilizing some form of voip and don't know it. What's unsettling is the idea of making a product as crappy as possible to force a move. It sounds like sabatoge and that's not cool.

But this is att. Instead of customer outreach and education and going where those pots customers live to make case for the change, they make it almost impossible. And if the nuanced version of this story gets out I think it could spell more disaster for the company.
