Does anyone know if you can still take your severance policy if you take a job with an Authorized Retailer (like Spring)? I figure they aren't an AT&T subsidiary.

I'm a surplused RAE so yes I know what I'm getting into with authorized retail.
Where were you let go or being let go from was it retail side or corporate please be more specific are you going to auth retail because you know that side in curious
thats not true at all. nothing in the paperwork says you lose severance benefits unless you get hired by at&t within 6 months of severance do something violating COBC or work for a competitor. Authorized retailers are fine and will not cause you to lose benefits. att wants you to work for them to have your training used to benefit their authorized retailer doors with better training
Reread the paperwork and it states that you give up severance if reemployed by AT&T or an AT&T subsidiary. I take subsidiary to mean DirectTV, Cricket, etc.
Are you part of retail now if so what region
You'll want to thoroughly read the package you get if/when you are surplused. Different groups sometimes have different stipulations apart from the standard stuff in all the packages. I have seen where they have said you forfeit your severance if you find a job within the company or its contracted vendors.
severance is paid as long as you meet the requirements in provided documents. they don't care who you work for unless you work for competitor. then they can let you go for working for competition before you get severance.
