Are Manager in 60 Positions Being Eliminated?

Are we now losing our floor support? I have heard word and seen in some centers that Managers in 60 are being forced to take part of their shifts on the phone taking calls and the other part of their shift doing floor support... That's generally not a good sign. Managers are upset because they have to work and MI60's are mad because they have to take calls. Not a good scenario at all.

I'm a trainer with DTV, and we were told "as management, you will not be assisting with supervisor requests from customers nor even to login to RIO/OMS systems as non-bargained employees."

Read the verbiage in your contract about floor support. "...relieve or assist a manager..." Unfortunately, management can do the work of the MI60's without repercussions. MI60 is not technically a job title.

At the first sign of management performing the tasks of bargained for employees your local should be notified. It is their fiduciary duty to end the practice. You pay them to protect your job.
