Well after years of seeing this place decline I have finally decided to put myself out there and see about getting a new job. The great news is that thanks to all the cuts and stacking of responsibilities, my qualifications are fantastic. In less than two weeks I have already gotten callbacks for interviews including one from Forbes top 100 companies to work for. I never thought I would say it but if it wasn't for the way things have been for the past 3 years I might have never thought about leaving. Oh yeah forgot to mention, all positions I have received interview requests start off at a minimum of twice my current salary. So stay positive and update your resume. The workload the company gives you gives you so many opportunities for other companies.

I too gave my notice at Follett for a much better opportunity. To me work life balance is important and something that was disappearing at Follett with the employee reductions and increased work loads on employees. My increase was only 12%, but that was not the primary reason I was leaving. Good luck to those that remain at Follett - we had a good run.
Ok, so you're off to a good start. A good start is a job half done. Best of luck.
Depending on the skill sets this is quite believable. With the US decision to impose high fees on temporary work visas and lower the cap on the number of H1B visas this will increase US employment opportunities both in the number of jobs and the salaries offered. With more and more free tutorials and classes available on the net in all areas everyone who has internet services should and continue to improve their skill sets which will increase their prospects in the job if they are willing to work for it.
Great move. You want to find a position at a growing company before Follett lays you off. Follett pay is historically low especially factoring in zero merit, zero bonus and declining industry. Folks at Follett might think they will get a bonus but look at the current numbers. There are much better paying jobs out there.
That's funny.....
What an a--hole u are. You'll get yours sh--. How dare you laugh at someone is trying to better themselves. I worked there and i know the salaries. So I know anything over 40 is double. You must really be an kisser. Wow
Yeah right, companies that have never even met you are offering to double the pay of a person working with college bookstores. Dream on. The fact that it has taken you 3 yrs to put out a resume speaks to the fact that you aren't the sharpest tool in the shed. Excuse me, I have to stop typing so I can continue laughing.
