We have. Two new classes in central Florida. I guess they are keeping my center. What a relief I was very worried.

Trust me as a former member of Management fo at&t never think that because they are hiring that you are safe. In an effort to keep centers attrition numbers down centerscwill hire to keep headcount numbers up. And trust me the starting salary is lower and lower. Its a numbers game
That would be 90% of current employees
"praying" and "worrying" are for pussies. Don't be another victim. Be proactive and do something to improve your situation.
The only perks to working at AT&T are the employee discounts, which they consider a benefit, So the next pay raise don't count n it, People are promoted to "Director" levels and higher who have no business managing people., or have the technical backgrounfd to make a real difference, Layoffs occur every quarter every single year, so you have that cloud hanging over you every Q, If you're in Business Marketing, you'll be forced to relocate to Dallas. If you refuse relocation, you have 60 days to find a new job inside the company , wich is unlikely
IM worried about our center, they are moving jobs from other centers to the call center in az. losing the field service request , losing activations, nothing left to move. scary process, I pray I do not lose my job.
Upper management new plan is to prevent you from exceeding goals for fear of quota being raised due to the fact that Area management does not care about, they are too numbers driven, most likely your
manager will s---, and you will be miserable since you Must stay in position for 1-2 years before being moved into a different role, in other words, it does not matter how good you are, if an opportunity comes your way, they will make sure you don't get it, is a firm wide tactic , god luck..
Amen!
The layoffs will continue that is for sure no matter what. It will expedite as we approach closer to 2020. Sure AT&T will attempt to decrease via retirements but this will not be enough to cut their overhead. The only way is through layoffs. When you approach 40s and have over 10 years experience you will most likely be on the list replaced by less qualified and cheaper and younger workers.
At the Charlotte NRC, the 5e Switch Group continued scheduled classes AFTER 49 ET's were surplussed on December 15, 2015. I hope your group is spared the axe, but like the previous post says "Don't break out the bubbly yet"
That's dangerous thinking, but I certainly hope it turns out as you would like.
Out unit hired and layoffs came right after, more people than all the new combined, for obvious reasons the highest paid went out the door
Wouldn't break out the bubbly just yet. Saw same thing happen in other locations and units before being cut. Keeping my fingers crossed for you
Good for you, we are in AZ and no new hires
