ATT does not concern it's self with the details. All they are concerned with is the bottom line. Dumping senior people( employees over 10 years ) via downsizing then hiring contractors allows them to save 401 k and health costs.
Think about it, why are there no complaints issues to the politicians about moving jobs overseas ?
other posts in this blog listed overseas jobs being removed from the USA. Who complains? Some even said it was all a rumor.
The rumor hit my group in Florida last week and we have until September to find a job or are gone. No one thinks a job will be available. the only hope is the movement to a company like Frontier which picked up Verizon and looks like ATT will be next. I read the FCC posting and ATT is actively pursuing the legal means to drop wireline and video like Verizon already did.
