Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Don't know why AT&T is pulling this card Every day I see the same thing at the company yard. Lines of contractor vehicles picking up supplies, to include poles, and fewer outside employees The company is using whatever tactic will work so they can keep their monopoly and not worry about innovation

I was with the AT&T alignment crew in central Florida, pole transfers were done by contractors all the time, the OPT's had just maintenance and repair, NJUNS and Osmose projects were also performed by contractors and the power companies,

I don't know. I wouldn't want someone touching my stuff that I paid good money to build and put in place.

I think there's some room for compromise on the issue but allowing Google or those doing work for them to physically move AT&T's or anyone else's stuff with out notifying them or giving them a chance to do the needed work themselves is not right.

OP has a point, previous post mssing the issue, who installs fiber in the South East for ATT? A: Mastec, are they contractors? Is all about equal access Ism't? GOOGLE APPS are not installing the fiber, in the southeast Bechtel , is doing it, another contractor,

you either are a Google employee or a person who has no clue on the actual network and how it works.

Google is a company who will use anyone to do the job just as long as it gets them the end result they want. The network reliability and SECURITY will go down the drain and then watch what happens. When the carriers including the cable company's use anyone including contractors to do fiber install, repair, and customer installs they insure they are qualified. the fiber on poles and underground is not all plug and play.

Your blog post shows that not everyone is qualified to do things they think they are.
