Is AT&T arguing that's its personal dignity is being impugned because filthy Google trash are authorized to fondle their fiber and copper without AT&T being around? Is that the harm?
Can't decide if this is AT&T doing something worthy of investigation by DOJ antitrust, or if this is AT&T doing something worthy of investigation by DOJ antitrust AND being protectionist of their remote technicians, And we've talked some about eminent domain and its role in the coming consumer v. ISP interest wars, but I'd imagine it'd be an order of magnitude easier to seize the poles instead of the entire last mile. LLU is still the ultimate answer, but if AT&T is going to be sh--ty about some irrational competition from Google, they don't need to own those poles.
