Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Hiring again?

Interestingly, I just noticed an article in my local Montana paper that AT&T is hiring 100 new workers in it's Missoula call center. After making the environment so toxic so that people would leave and terminating people to deny unemployment, this is kind of despicable. I left that center a short time ago. It was hell. My friend told me that they are being told to refer, refer, refer their friends for employment. Unfortunately, the job offers the highest wages and good benefits. Maybe the unionization will make a difference in the culture there, but I doubt it.

I can only speak on the Austin area. LaKendra was amazing. I loved her but everyone else were money hungry. Some leaders were good but people are always leaving or fired due to lying to customers, employees, etc. I almost got caught in some mess with my boss at the time due to him/her telling me to do something that I shouldn't have done.

They're all about the money. It's stressful. They say it's customer service but servicing customers is the last thing they want from their reps

SALE SALE SALE ! I hated the job, leadership, and lies. As a result I don't support the company now. This job put a very bad taste in my mouth.

No Career opportunities whatsoever. You're either a rep, MI60, or management. You'll be working there for years if you're looking forward to becoming a manager.
