Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Wireline is dead! Or is it?

http://www.cheatsheet.com/gear-style/google-fiber-speed-cities-prices.html/?ref=YF&yptr=yahoo

Pretty ironic that this article is on Yahoo and should be a lesson to our executive morons on how to actually attract millenials. Instead, we have an advertisement the focuses on offering free Starz programming.

dont be surprised if vz sell the rest of their fiber network and whats left of the copper

Yeah... so. Copper will be sold. There's no doubt about that. But we're still buying fiber assets all over (XO). You should understand that our 100Gb and 10Gb service will be making us some money.

ISOe3ld-1inp,

Insults aside, copper is dying.

Fiber or 6G (maybe 5G), is the future.

Still will need the union, but fewer of them.

VZ profits mostly come from wireless (wireline about 7%).

not sure if they sell us or not, but copper is dying.

So, lets cut out the insults.

Let's face it. Verizon abandoned there fiber loop on the west coast and is phasing out the rest unless it's needed. The future is wireless. That's why Lowell came over. He's in bed with the government and all the major Internet corps. They're just busing all the major search engines besides Google to eliminate competition. Look at Lowell's speach from years ago about how he wants verizon involved with healthcare. He's positioning the company for the future. Ya they're in debt but it means nothing compared to what they're trying to accomplish with the elites of the country. It's going to happen. They want full control.

Verizon looks at the North East as the top of a muffin, There rest you just throw away, because lets face it the top is the best part.

The northeast is a very, very, small footprint, really. OK, five of the top 25 cities in America, the biggest population density, you're more then a broken record.

Again....I sound like a broken record. Verizon only has a very, very small wireline footprint since they sold everything off.

It doesn't matter what Verizon thinks of wireline because they almost have zero skin in the game.
