More cuts will be announced next month. AT&T Consolidates Massive Account With Omnicom , their Business Affairs \ Development and Content Acquisition units across the company will be reduced, contracting entire segments will be the new normal moving forward

I heard DTV folks in LA will be axed this quarter, before the holidays seasons.
Mostly in engineering and ops. Someone very high up above director level.

Re: Advertising - Anyone at Rock Center in NYC in the Advertising group are about to be axed. Mostly DTV folks. They will be moved out of the most expensive real estate in the portfolio. Evidently it equates to about a 50% headcount reduction, but global real estate is currently looking for another place to move everyone (aside from NJ) offices.
I can assure you my head is my not up the bosses a**, I have plenty of friends, mostly in wholesale, that is the biggest joke ever, never hear of anyone being let go.
There are , bad and ugly corporate mergers and acquisitions, and DTV is poised to be one of them, while Randall continues idealizing with the Synergies of combining business activities, performance will increase and costs will decrease, "Essentially a fresh start", after AT bring a new player into the game, and get another quarter sort of a new extension.
Most of that money spent, will come from other areas to offset revenues shortfalls however, creative media has been flowing toward Google and Facebook, these 2 two companies will continue to eclipse Omnicom, as T continues to slide from an online sensation to the dysfunctional company that it is today
The Omnicom deal Make sense 100%, others initiatives will follow, from the current lack of talent AT&T's workforce, which is under constant pressure to be something they are not, and the lack of direction created by the company

If you have not heard of any of your friends being laid off just wait. Unfortunately it seems it's not a matter of if the will just when they will

Why is I keep hearing of all these layoffs, but I never know anyone that has been laid off. None of my friends have been laid off.
