Anyone heard anything more layoffs in OCTOBER for ATT/DIRECTV or both?

All of uverse is not going this year. But layoffs in that group have already started and will continue in a phased manner until they're all gone or moved to other parts of the company. I'd expect 2018 or 2019 to be the end of the road.

Does anyone know with the layoffs if it is DIRECTV as well and what call centers?
That's not really a red flag. Those contracts routinely expire without an agreement. Then they either extend or the union works without a contract until an agreement is reached. Just another day at At&T.
The fact that the CWA and ATT can not come to an agreement on a new contract is a huge red flag. The contract has only been extended as of 7/23/16.
To be clear, I have no inside info on timing of any large scale layoffs. But IF it's delayed it may be based on the fact that the higher ups are starting to feel that the wireline conversion will take longer than originally planned.
It will be Q4. Don't fool yourself that its been pushed back. Look at the working conditions around you and realize that change is coming again for many of us.
Where are the delays coming from?? Fear of bad PR? This board? Is Att going to create something so amazing the cash can offset what was planned??
1Q2017 has been put off. Currently it's 2Q2017 but may even be pushed off further.
I've hear 1q 2017 is the big one. 4q 2016 large scale surplus delayed until then.
