Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Concerned

The rumors of a 3/3/1 package are running rampid. That is three years added to service, three to age, and a years pay for those that qualify for the rule of 75. Has anyone heard about a time frame for this offer?

Just take their cell phone from a millennial and they can't survive with out it. No work ethics, they want to start at top positions with zero experience and don't want to work hard or sacrifice to move up! No wonder they live with moma till there 45....

The last Enhanced Pension Offer was made available Feb. 3 2015. The EPO had and I quote from the formal statement:" 1)Increased your pension benefit by 10% 2) Provided access to a full lump-sum option for all managers, including those that do not already have access to this form of payment." Managers were given one full month to participate in the EPO with a termination date of March 31st.

If this model is used, as its rumor only at this point in time, logic says offer is made the first week in November 2016. The Big T then clears the payroll by end of calendar year 2016. Bonus dollars for 2016 are still payable comes March 2017.

This is a clean and cost effective approach that my friends who've had it are praying for...:)

I would not take millennials seriously, the big majority lived with their parents

No. Baby boomers are funny because they love to bash millennials left and right, but boomers hold on to their jobs with all their might. I wish something like this was true, but boomers will continue to infect AT&T for a long time.

AT&T will not increase severance. They will be following IBM, which they always do, and cutting severance from 6 month max to 1 month max. IBM did it this year and ATT will follow in 2017. If you got surplused this year count yourself lucky.

You have some Bad info, on the other hand severance will be cut next year, and that sounds like something they can do very easily

Nothing more than a fabricated rumor. This is not going to happen.
