It appears AT&T made agreements with DTV to favor some of their employees over legacy AT&T employees even if they have little to no knowledge of AT&T products or processes. I've been seeing in the past few weeks executives on down be given the golden hand job to leave the company. The management coming in is completely clueless about what they're doing or the team they're supporting.

AT&T agents don't know anything about Directv services either. AT&T needs to keep agents from both and keep cross training
Yep, I was laid off in My after 19 years with SWBT/AT&T while DTV employees stayed on.
DTV assimilation is complete, the excretion process will be finished soon, and will not be pretty, sorry DTV these are intended consequences of the merger.
What a load of tripe. And even so, ole Randall says we all have "pivot" and "transform" our skills. Don't worry though, the benevolent and kind AT&T will outsource everything, so not many AT&T or DIRECTV employees will be kept on anyway. Just the same batch of unethical leadership and a revolving door of talent that they will pay on the cheap.
Oh look, another legacy AT the DTV senior management is all but gone; and the AT&T culture has now started to affect both performance and morale at DTV sites.
But yeah, this is all the fault of DIRECTV.
Knowledge has nothing to do with keeping your job, Must learn the new survival skill, kissing a-- can help you get ahead. But there aren’t many places where you can learn how to kiss a-- effectively as when employed by this company, Also make sure that is not obvious, since it can backfire,
No doubt. That's par for the course in these mergers.
