It is really Lowell and his pet sock-pocket Barny Rubble who have the touch of sh^t on investing. And Lowell was the 4th string quarteback and look at the mess he has made. But if you keep buying thing it makes it hard for analysts to really review. Total Sham. Or rather total shammo!
so they want to divest themselves of landline but buy a fleet management company...who is running this company?
Worldcom all over again......covering up and cooking the books with all these moving parts.
I see the theme here is everything Verizon touches goes to $hit!
Alltel 28.1 Billion
Aol 4.4 Billion
Fleetmatics 2.4 Billion
Spectrum 10.1 Billion
Terremark 1.4 Billion
Vodafone 130 Billion
Yahoo 4.8 Billion
Edgecast 350 Million
Hughes 612 Million
Intell media 200 Million
millennia Media 238 Million
Oncue 500 Million
Take that New York Yankees !!
If you knew anything about telematics as a whole, you would know fleetmatics is THE BEST in the business hands down. A very established name with a fantastic product. It's a smart purchase. If you can't beat the competition's product... buy it.
INSIDE JOB
Verizon needs to investigate everyone involved in this decision immediately.
$2.4 billion in cash from where? Is Verizon going to rob a bank? They have no cash. They have debt. Maybe they will take $2.4 billion in debt.
Verizon has turned into Lowell's personal slot machine.
Looks like telematics is still pissing money away. Then again, that is what Fran should expect when he picks the underplayer of all of the telematics players.
Verizon appears to be trying to buying companies whose technology has passed.
