Anyone heard of any layoffs in AT&T TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS

My org ( ATS under Lyons) was told our number is as of now 6 but it may go higher.

HR has told VP's that the expected retirements did not materialize this summer so headcount numbers were given for "correction" do they really expect people to leave in this economy? People in my group were asked and 8 said they anticipated to leave by July1 2016. None did so we were told to expect a redirection and some corrections.
I heard form someone in finance HQ that their was a huge push a few months ago for a large event in 3rd/4th qtr. Speculation is that this layoff board hasn't helped and is being read. Powers that be decided to pull back a little and is moving the huge push to 2017 1st/2nd qtr.
Good to know, there are some sorry managers in that group, old and slow.
I agree with the previous poster will be 4Q2016. Reason being is AOC is sold they'll be moving to Hoover in 1Q2017.

Yes. The company needs to make room for the employees moving in from the AOC and downtown.
