I received a news letter from Bloomberg financial and they did say ATT was planning to up its profit numbers by moving all possible work to countries where the cost are lower. sure this will save money but at what cost to USA employees. It's all about the executives making bigger bonuses.
AT&T Inc. boosted its 2015 earnings outlook and posted profit that exceeded analysts’ estimates, using tablet promotions to win wireless subscribers while also adding DirecTV satellite-TV customers.
"The company revised its 2016 earnings forecast to $2.68 to $2.74 a share, topping the $2.64 average of analysts’ estimates compiled by Bloomberg. Earnings excluding some items were 74 cents a share last quarter, Dallas-based AT&T said Thursday in a statement. Analysts anticipated 69 cents. Continued cost saving by moving to lower cost countries to provide services in Europe and India will boost the profit "substantially.
Sure people are all ready to join the picket line. Oh wait a minute this is not the people from Verizon or the auto workers union. Seriously do you really think people in the CWA in att really think they are in jeopardy? People in my group think its all noise from some small group in California or some other liberal area. when this union really steps up and I don't mean the useless union leadership I mean the people in the union and demands ATT to STOP outsourcing to overseas countries and go to their legislators to massively complain will it mean anything.
ATT has advertised to the financial company's they will maintain employee levels but also stated they expect to "diversify" the company with more employees in other world countries. The US numbers will drop very low. Virtually no call centers will remain in the US.
