Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Mobility support outsourced.

Looks like the field support work for Mobility equipment will be outsourced to contractors. The mobility technicians and the people in field OCATS who support them will be losing work. Wonder who else will loose work.

ATS is the group and they were told ALL IS OK THIS YEAR. so guess what they will get next year.

Comments from one in their group in in Texas say a fool in California was given the charge to get more mobility work and he dropped the ball. Apparently he thought is was better to be nice and help under the table rather than take charge and get the work away from contractors.

your right, most don't have a clue....yet.

Want to bet the group is being told all is ok and they believe the story. If you read through this blog you will see a lot of people were taken by surprise and thought all was ok.

It may be that group is very small and it wont cause any issues elsewhere.

I wonder if they do CO support also?

Or they have better things to do than hang out in this site and troll people.

Interesting that no reply's from the group being dropped. I bet they are clueless.

Another " not me it must be the other guy"

I think the tier 3 field support is from the group called ATS

Not good, Who are the groups who do the field work support? It must be tier 3 because the tier 2 is in a call center. the mobility field techs must be supported by them.

Was this expected? I know contractors used in most states but why are the internal people being dropped. Cost?
