Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Verizon, it's time to make a deal with your real workers

The Post-Gazette is running regular full-page ads from Verizon begging for workers to fill in for those on strike. Given the cost of these advertisements, wouldn’t it make more sense for Verizon to be working out a deal with its workers so that they can get fair pay?

Those same unionized a--holes that are double dipping after retiring on a taxpayer provided pension whether it's with another federal job or on disability.

F--- them too.

F--- outta here with that "no women, no kids" bullshit.

On the weekends, those union whales have their little whale-lings chanting the same garbage and acting the same.

"You can call the union a lot of things, scum, lazy, bums. But never call them real workers."

I'm certain that cops, firefighters, teachers - to name but a few unionized professions - would feel the same way about you after reading that high-education-reeking post of yours...

Real workers? You can call the union a lot of things, scum, lazy, bums. But never call them real workers. I hope these fools never cross Verizon's doorsteps again other than from the sidewalk of course with your stupid commy red shirts, little signs, and retarded looking children. Saw a picture of one ugly stupid looking kid holding a sign that said, "Verizon took my dad's benefits.". Hey kid, Verizon didn't take anything from your daddy, he walked away and left you without benefits. Maybe your daddy will beg for welfare so you can get a toy this Christmas.

@tid Neither of those. It's the truth of the matter.

I knew from the get go this is temp stuff even if they said else and moved accordingly.

@jtk

You see, those are what we call short term, flexible costs and can be resolved relatively quickly. Unlike you union whales both, in all likelyhood, physically, and definitely, financially hence the convenient name.

Also, verizon, harpoons away!

@lpe - let's not talk about how much money Verizon has wasted "training" and paying the scabs and soon to be unemployment for union members if they drag this out any longer. Not a very smart financial move but I don't expect any less from clueless upper management. Also I like your anonymous fat shaming calling people whales. Im sure you are a scrawny twig that looks like a bean pole, but whatever..go have a hamburger, you probably need it since you probably look like you are starving to death.

@obl - wishful thinking, we are coming back. Verizon is Hemorraging a ton of money with the incompetence they have now. They arent going to just ignore their suffering bottom line.

I'm pretty sure a year's worth of newspaper advertisement is way cheaper than one union whale's salary.

But that's union logic.
