Shelton , seen boarding his private Leer jet wednesday afternoon on way to a long holiday weekend in Nantucket as 39000 of his sheep walk in circles at wireless stores and garage locations. Before he boarded he reminded all members one day longer one day stronger. He hopes to return tuesday of next week but may extend his stay if the weather is nice.

Just think, Monday's a holiday. Helloooo double time and a half!!! Oh wait.. Too soon? :)
This reeks of BS. Would some reporter please prove or disprove this statement.
" but in this day and age it is unrealistic to even have a pension."
Why is it unrealistic? Because of Reagonomics screwing most of the U.S. population out of their pensions during the 80s and 90s and leaving them with highly-volatile 401(k) only?
I, for one, would've never taken this job if it were not for the pension. So I'll fight to keep it to the best of my abilities.
Chris said, stay union strong and walk the lines. As he got on his jet flown by non-union people he said lets go I'm late for Happy Hour, let the slobs walk the line.
FACT usually means lie.
YYS - that is great for you, honestly. Hardly anyone who works in this country gets to have that any more and don't understand why you are fighting to keep something that is now obsolete. Not saying you shouldn't try, but in this day and age it is unrealistic to even have a pension.
Dear CWA/IBEW, when your jobs are gone by other non-union people who can do them and the technology making them obsolete, I don't think you'll be so smug. Technicians make more than police officers, teachers and heathcare professionals. Please let this union be disbanded so Verizon can grow with technology. These technicians should be using the $8000 tuition reimbursement to learn the corporate executives finance/computer skills and WAKE UP to REALITY. OH BOO HOO.....SHELTON is a Saint. I love Ramen noodles. Learn to spell you stupid FIOS TECHNICIAN!!!!!!
I have zero problems, thanks for the concern.
I talked to a union guy who retired in 91 with a 4 and 4 offer, he's not rich but living comfortably. He was in the 7 month strike in 71 and the 16 week strike in 89, hang in there.
@VQA... "Don't think" and, that is your problem
Yeah, unions are so evil. Why would the company fight unionizing at every opportunity. Because they have your best interest in mind, guess again.
yep... unless the union caves soon, it'll replacement workers in those seats/trucks
You know what unions are no different than ponzi schemes.
The first ones in get the most while the last ones in get screwed. So much for collectiveness.
Don't think so, try again.
Yes… the company IS hiring…. Your replacements
Yea, most of us just want to get there, I'll travel to Boston for a few years until I'm eligible. Green line us all, this company isn't hiring anyways.
Union guy here. Looking at the anger towards union folks on this site makes me wonder. Do the clowns spewing this hate have any idea the pension I will receive from this company? I have 34 years and 57 years old, anybody want to guess? That figure is why I can look at those nasty posts and laugh. It would be nice if this company that makes so much money would give everyone a pension. As I get ready to retire I thank my union everyday.
I dont blame him. Im going away too. It's going to be a great weekend. Hold the fort down scabby.
Shelton donated all his pay to strikers, also he been existing on ramin noodles and tuna fish. FACT!
